The Process

1. Let us know that you are interested

We will send you updates and reminders about the process along the way.

Leading to the summer, we will be checking in with you about your application and help prepare you and your family for the summer.

2. Start your Application

When the application opens, you will receive a link sent to the information provided. Fill it out to the best of your ability.

3. Gather References

Find who knows you best! Connect with your:

  • Lead Pastor
  • Youth Pastor
  • Bible Study Group
  • RA/Challenger Leader

4. Complete Leadership Training Camp

Completion requires the recommendation of your unit leader. During the week, you will be trained in:

  • Sharing the Gospel
  • Sharing their Testimony
  • Leading a Bible Study or Devotion
  • Teamwork & Group Leadership Skills

Your recommendation will be based primarily on their:

  • Spiritual Maturity
  • Interpersonal skills, and
  • Personal responsibility in tasks assigned

Following a favorable recommendation during the week, you will receive the title of State Staffer and receive their assignments for the Summer.

5. Serve, “as unto the Lord”

During your service, you will put into practice the training you received at LTC. At camps and missions opportunities, you will have the chance to:

  • Present the Gospel
  • Pray with others
  • Lead in recreation, bible study, and devotions
  • Work in a team environment
  • Build friendships for a lifetime
  • Receive biblical discipleship

We pray that these opportunities equip you to be a leader in your family, school, church, and community; giving you a vision to be “on-mission” for the next stage of your life.
